Birthday Card and a scrapbook layout
Here are the items I worked on yesterday. The card was kind of hard to photograph because the paper I used was holographic. I cuttlebugged it, and used a sizzix die for the slides. I built up the slides with some chipboard so they would be thicker. I used my Tim Holtz tiny attacher and attached some ribbon to the back of the slides, and it went through several layers of cardstock and chipboard with no problem.
On my layout, I used some paper from DCWV Travel stack. I cut the flowers on my cricut at 2.25 inches and then inked around the edges. The flowers are from "Life's A Beach" cartridge. The font and Juke Box words are from "Nifty Fifties" cartridge. I then cut a jukebox from the "Nifty Fifties" cartridge but blocked out all the extra cuts for the layers so I could use it as a journaling tag. I used pop dots on the flowers and Juke box embellishment. It felt good to be able to sit down and get something accomplished other than "fixing" my craft room.
